There will be 16 proposals that will participate in the third edition of the ‘Benidorm Fest’, but only one will be chosen to represent Spain in the 68th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, which will be held in May of next year in Malmö (Sweden). TVE presented to the media the singers and their songs that will compete for this particular bronze microphone. There will be no shortage of variety of styles, from rock, bolero, urban to Latin and pop, and also several compositions in Catalan.
Miss Caffeine – ‘Blah, blah, blah’
This Madrid band founded in 2005, which mixes indie rock and pop, had a hard time convincing to participate in the RTVE program. They took the step because they like challenges. With ‘Detroit’ they achieved their greatest success and, now, the next screen to conquer is ‘Benidorm Fest’ after touring the main music festivals in the country. “We are living it intensely because we have done it with a lot of love,” they say about her experience in this contest.
Jorge González – ‘Hot’

Angy Fernández – ‘I know who I am’
It was the ‘Beniform Fest’ that encouraged Angy, 33, to return to music. We met her as a finalist in the first edition of ‘Factor X’ and, just a year later, as a student at the Zurbarán Institute in the series ‘Physics or chemistry’. She went public about her depression in 2019 and dedicated herself to convincing people about the importance of mental health. Her song says it explains the moment she’s been through in music, where you don’t know when you’re lost.
María Peláe – ‘Sender’
She was in the Eurofan pools as one of the favorites to compete on the RTVE ‘show’. With fifteen years of professional career, the Malaga singer-songwriter needed a challenge that would stir her inside. Her bet is ‘Remitente’, a song with which she wants to vindicate flamenco in Europe, but also warn “about the errors of history that have made us suffer a lot.”
Sofía Coll – ‘Here to stay’
At the age of 14, she already stood out in ‘La Voz Kids’, but it was in 2019 when she published her first single, ‘Before I Forget What’s Love’, an R&B song in English. She is an actress, dancer and presenter, but now she faces the most important challenge of her professional career.
Lérica – ‘Astronaut’
This duo from Cádiz, formed by Juan Carlos Aranza and Tony Mateo, brother of Abraham Mateo, forged their friendship on a television program. Their songs are characterized by a musical diversity, ranging from pop and tropical genres to urban genres and flamenco. They have also shared the stage with artists such as Nil Moliner or Belinda.
St. Pedro – ‘Two Strangers (Quarter String)’
He began to stand out in urban music and, in 2017, he reached the final of ‘La Voz’ with the Juanes team. Her next album promises Latin rhythms that range from ballads to salsa, ranchera or merengue. Her proposal for the ‘Benidorm Fest’ is an interesting bolero with the aroma of nostalgic love.

They are the oldest in the edition. The Alicante band Nebulosa defines its style as ‘MPYMS’ (a lot of pop and a lot of synth), with a sound based on melodies from the eighties. They tried to go to Eurovision in 2022, representing San Marino. Now, they seek to achieve it with Spain.
Dellacruz – ‘Kiss in the morning’
At 31 years old, the man from Tenerife has composed songs for singers such as Sergio Dalma, Famous, Dvicio and Bombai. In 2019 he released his first single, ‘Always Return’, in collaboration with his compatriot Nay Arias.
Roger Padrós – ‘The Time’
The Catalan will sound again one more year at ‘Benidorm Fest’ under the voice of Roger. He studied Business Administration and Management, but released his first single in 2019 after competing in ‘La Voz’. Since he was five years old he has played the piano, an instrument that he always accompanies him.
Almácor – ‘Platinum Shines’
He is one of the artists of the year that is about to end. Tony Aguilar informed him at The 40 Music Awards that he was nominated for Best Urban Newcomer. His first album ‘MELANCOLI’ fused urban rhythms, afrobeats, reggaeton and dancehall. It accumulated several million views on digital platforms.
Mantra – ‘You will see me’
Formed in 2020, the Mantra group, in which Carlos Marco, former member of Auryn, participates, will also look for their opportunity at ‘Benidorm Fest’. His debut materialized with the single ‘No Te Espera’, in collaboration with Yera.
Marlena – ‘Summer Love’
Their lyrics, they say, talk about everyday life, love and heartbreak. This singing duo got their name from a song by some Eurovision winners. With ‘Me tastes bad’ they achieved their first great success, which led them to perform more than 30 concerts and their video clips have more than 4 million views on YouTube.
Yoly Saa – ‘I won’t forget’
The 31-year-old Galician woman came in third place in the ‘Incredible Duos’ program, along with the renowned Sole Giménez. After leaving her homeland, she began playing in the subway until 2020 when she released her first EP, ‘Magma’.
Noan – ‘I miss you’
It was just outside the previous edition of ‘Benidorm Fest’. One of her greatest hits was ‘I hate that you love’, with Paula Koops, which reached four million listens on Spotify.
Quique Niza – ‘Prisoner’
The actor, who has combined the race to the RTVE festival with his tour in the ‘Grease’ musical, composed his song for Eurovision in a musical camp organized by the public channel for three days.
