The second edition of Obiettivo Tricolore, the relay of Paralympic athletes organized by Obiettivo3, the sports project founded by Alex Zanardi, will also start from Verrès.

The Aosta Valley locality is one of the three (together with La Villa, province of Bolzano, and Lecco) chosen to start the great relay that from 4 to 25 July will see 70 Paralympic athletes pass the baton from hand to hand. On Sunday 11 July in Bologna, Zanardi’s hometown, the green relay that started from Verrès will rejoin the white one that started from La Villa and the red one that started in Lecco. From there it will continue until it reaches the arrival in Catania on 25 July.

From Verrès the race will start on Tuesday 6 July at 10 am from piazza Challant. The first relay runner will be Alessia Refolo (photo), Paralympic champion in climbing and water skiing. The sports village will open at 8 am at the urban park with vehicle testing and recruitment and the opportunity to test e-bikes and the means of the “Diverse Bici” school project for free.

On Monday 5 July from 8.45 pm, again at the urban park, Refolo will be present together with its guide Giorgia Bonetti and the sporting director of Obiettivo3 Piero Dalnese at the evening entitled “The most beautiful medal”.
