April 20 A general meeting of members of the Credit Union “Prieņu taupa” was held at the Prienų Culture and Leisure Center, where the reports of the internal audit, board, and loan committee were heard, the draft of the set of annual financial statements and the procedure for profit distribution (loss compensation) was presented, and other issues were discussed.

Last year, KU “Prieņu taupa” community was joined by 55 members, 9 employees worked there, the 5-person Board was active, which consisted of: chairperson Violeta Kirlienė, Juozas Kursevičius, Angelė Martusevičienė, Ona Oleškevičienė and Alvydas Radvila.
According to the Chairman of the Board, Violeta Kirlienė, 53 meetings of the Board took place last year, during which the admission of members, their requests for granting or extending the credit limit on the credit card, issuing loans and other issues were considered.

As V.Kirlienė herself said, in the course of the year, great attention was also paid to the management of the loan portfolio and the control of borrowers. Members’ requests to postpone loan repayment terms, to change security measures, and the purpose of the loan were considered and granted. Every month, the board considered the results of the loan evaluation.
During the past year, the board considered 83 requests for loans over 2 million. for the amount of euros. According to Laura Babravičienė, a member of the Loans Committee, loans were issued for various purposes, but KU “Prieņu taupa” received the most requests for issuing loans for the purchase of land and development of agricultural business, as well as providing consumer loans. The largest loan granted to a natural person amounted to EUR 292,941, to a legal entity – EUR 155,829.68.

In order to publicize the activities of the Credit Union as widely as possible and attract new members, last year, activities were also actively carried out in the field of marketing, information materials were supplemented and updated, and employees had the opportunity to raise their qualifications in training and seminars.
During the meeting, it was also noted that the Credit Union fulfills all the norms stipulated by the Bank of Lithuania, and the liquidity indicator was 334.95% last year. (100% required), capital adequacy in 2022. was 21.22 percent.
