In this new edition, the main report makes the professional role of mutual support agentfundamental in the recovery of mental health. This piece contains the opinions and experiences of Antonio Ramos Bernalrepresentative of the Personal Mental Health Committee of SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA, trainer and mutual support technician in Healthy foundation (Villena); Mikel Merinomutual support agent in Time.newsFES; Silvia Garcia Estebanpeer support agent, therapeutic companion and reading mediator with people with psychosocial suffering; AND Mª Noemi López Pérez, psychologist, director of the employment and training programme ASIEM Mental Health Valencia. The section «Mental health in step with the times» faces the personal assistancefundamental figure for the right to independent life, in the framework of the International Congress on personal assistance, organized in Valladolid on 29 and 30 May, by Federation of Mental Health Castile and León And PROMOTES EQUALITYwith the support of the Confederación SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA and IMPULSA EGUALDAD Castilla y León. Inside the section of news on the Confederationthe campaign is collected #SaludMentalLGTBIQ+ held on International LGTBIQ+ Pride Day, which highlighted mental health care for LGTBIQ+-identified youth; Likewise, information is provided on the employability workshops promoted by SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA, in which almost 200 people participated; and traveled to Barcelona, Valencia, Seville and Madrid, with the help of the “Fundación Blanca y Renfe” Mental Health and Sports Tour, in which elite athletes participated to raise awareness of the importance of mental health in sport. The magazine reflects, in the column “Entity”the activities and programs of socio-work inclusion carried out by various entities of the SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA associative movement, for which the employability of people with mental health problems and/or psychosocial disabilities constitutes a priority line of work. In the report “A Day Inside”, The media treatment of mental health is addressed, between advancements and stigma.
