(24 News) The 23rd summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will begin today in Islamabad, in which Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko, Kazakh Prime Minister Oladas Bekhtinov, Russian Prime Minister will participate. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohar Rasulzada and Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdullah Aripov will attend.
Kyrgyzstan Cabinet Chairman Daparov Akilbek, Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Reza Arif and Indian Foreign Minister Subramaniam Jaishankar will also participate in the meeting.
Mongolia is participating in the summit as an observer represented by the Prime Minister of Mongolia, Turkmenistan is represented as a special guest by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet Rashid Muridov.
Other guests included SCO Secretary General Zhang Ming, Director of the Executive Committee SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure Ruslan Mirzayev, Chairman of the Board of SCO Business Council Atif Ikram Sheikh and Chairman of the Council of SCO Interbank Union Marat Yelibayev. In the SCO meeting, ongoing cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, environment and socio-cultural relations will be discussed and the performance of the organization will also be reviewed. Will make important organizational decisions to approve the budget of the organization.
