Here is a very surprising scene in Rome. In the middle of the 25 km race in open water, the judges, worried about the weather conditions and the swell of the sea, decided to shorten the course initially planned, before stopping it completely on Saturday.
Only the Italian swimmers headed for the finish while the other competitors continued the race as normal. The organization’s jet skis had to rush to the swimmers to stop them in their tracks.
The Italians seemed to be the only participants aware of the change. All the other swimmers were probably not warned by the organization. No official ranking has yet been published.
