30th anniversary of Bangladesh Awami Swachhasebak League on Saturday (July 27). On this day, the organization will enter 31 years of glorious struggle and success.

Awami Swachhasebak League was formed on July 27, 1994 as a subsidiary organization of Awami League under the instructions of Sheikh Hasina, daughter of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, comprising former leaders of various levels of Chhatra League. The founding president of the organization was Awami League’s current joint general secretary AFM Baha Uddin Nashim. Since its inception, the organization has always been in the field to deal with agitations, struggles and disasters.

The program undertaken on the occasion of the founding anniversary of the Volunteer League includes the hoisting of the party and national flags at the central office of the organization along with the district, metropolitan, upazila and ward offices at 6 am on Saturday.

President of Awami Swachhasebak League Gazi Mejbaul Hossain Satchu and General Secretary Afzalur Rahman Babu congratulated the countrymen including leaders and workers at all levels on this long journey of the organization.

They said, gratitude to all the leaders and workers who participated in preventing the anarchy and violence of BNP-Jamaat in the last few days.

The top leaders of the organization expressed condolences to the injured leaders and activists, including Svechsevak League leaders Baker Molla and Sumon Hossain, seeking forgiveness for the departed souls of the deceased.
