32-year-old AmericanDoogie Lish SandtigerIs a Crocs hole shoe collector, as of now he has 2,151 pairs of Crocs holes shoes. Doogie thinks they’re stylish and fun, comfortable to wear, and like a blank canvas. But behind the original collection of Crocs hole shoes, there is a big reason behind it.
It turned out that Doogie grew up in a foster family when he was a child, and no one taught him how to tie shoelaces correctly. When he reached high school, he was too embarrassed to ask his peers to teach him to tie shoelaces. So when he first thought that hole shoes were ugly and clumsy, he was also attracted by its ease of wear, so he started his way of collecting hole shoes.
There are many unique shoes in his collection, such as the 7-Eleven special edition launched last year, KFC styles, limited edition Peanuts comics and so on. And he also puts on different Crocs every day, the purpose is to make them really useful, rather than just laying them aside. In fact, Doogie applied for the Guinness World Record when he collected the 700th pair of shoes, but when he collected the 1,000th pair of shoes, he was told to reapply and put it on hold. Doogie hopes to open a Crocs hole shoe museum in the future to display his collection and shoe history.
