In the “Doha Declaration” that sanctioned the work of the Forum, the Arab Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Finance and Economy and their counterparts from the Republic of Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan, also praised the efforts made by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency, under the Al-Quds Committee, chaired by His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
Furthermore, they stressed the importance for the Libyan parties to respect the Skhirat Agreement, signed in 2015 in Morocco. In another vein, the Forum participants welcomed the Marrakech Declaration on the Security Initiative against the Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction, adopted in January 2024, which emphasizes the need to intensify regional efforts to combat weapons of mass destruction by promoting the exchange of expertise, experiences and good practices between the member countries of this initiative.
On the other hand, the ministers taking part in this meeting welcomed the positive results of the presidency of the Kingdom of Morocco of the United Nations Environment Assembly for the period 2022-2024, recalling that the “Rabat Declaration” adopted at the end of the High-level Conference on Middle-Income Countries, held in Rabat on February 5 and 6, 2024, had called for a paradigm shift in international development cooperation in favor of middle-income countries and the strengthening of the participation of these countries in global governance.
They also welcomed Morocco’s election to the presidency of the United Nations Human Rights Council for the year 2024, as the first Arab country to accede to this prestigious position. In addition, the “Doha Declaration” welcomed the Kingdom’s designation as facilitator of the UN process relating to the World Social Summit to be held in 2025.
Morocco was represented at this Forum by a delegation led by the Kingdom’s ambassador to Egypt, permanent representative to the Arab League, Mohamed Ait Ouali.
