The fifth generation network of A1 5G ULTRA was ranked by Ookla® in the top 10 telecoms with the fastest 5G networks in the world. The result of 5G ULTRA is 360.75 with an average value of 232.98 for all telecoms in Bulgaria. The data is compiled based on nearly 88,000 user tests via Speedtest® in the first half of 2024.

Currently, A1’s 5G ULTRA network provides gigabit speeds and low latency, covering 84.1% of the population – in all settlements with over 3,000 inhabitants, the key road arteries and the main resorts in Bulgaria. The maximum measured speeds in A1’s 5G network reach over 1.75 Gbps. A1 began offering its 5G ULTRA network to customers in early 2021, and continues to rely on true 5G technology to this day.
