The American sanctions on Hezbollah: The Central Bank of Lebanon froze the accounts of Hassan Mokaled and his two sons, as well as the accounts of the exchange company Citex that he owns, following the American sanctions that were imposed on them this week. This is reported by the Reuters news agency.

Mokeled responded and said that the decision harms companies with decades of experience and dozens of workers employed by Citex of all denominations.

It was also stated in the response that the ordinary people who were harmed by the decision will take the necessary legal steps following it.

As you may recall, a few days ago the authorities in the USA announced sanctions on Mokeled and his businesses due to alleged economic cooperation with Hezbollah. In the announcement it was stated that Mokeled served as a financial advisor to the Hezbollah organization and made financial transfers worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
