The competent prosecutor requested from the Judicial Council the referral of the 43-year-old actor Lambros Filippou to a trial for serial rape, committed and attempted.
The actor Lambros Filippou he was initially accused of sexually assaulting four women, two of whom are sisters. The 43-year-old may have been acquitted of the two rape charges filed against him, but he is being referred to trial for the other two. According to the case file, the actor and director is referred to trial by final will of the Appeals Council of Athenss for the offenses of attempted rape in succession, but also of rapewhich he allegedly committed against two women in December 2012 and August 2013.

The actor denies the allegations and filed an appeal against the decision of the first instance council, which was also rejected by the Second Instance Judicial Council upheld his arraignment on both charges.
