During this meeting, held under the chairmanship of the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government, responsible for Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Ghita Mezzour, the Director General of the ADD underlined that all the resolutions resulting of the latest Boards of Directors have been implemented, specifying that the last three years have been marked by the completion of major projects aimed at accelerating the digital transformation of the public and private sector as well as raising awareness of appropriate use digital tools for users, indicates the ADD in a press release.
Furthermore, the Director General presented the progress of the projects carried out during the period 2021-2023 for each area of intervention, namely “Smart Government” focused on the digitalization of public services of the Moroccan Administration , “the Digital and Innovation Ecosystem” intended to strengthen the competitiveness of companies in the digital economy, in particular VSE/SMEs, self-employed and startups with a view to establishing Morocco as a benchmark Digital and Technological Hub in Africa.
These are also the areas of “Social Inclusion through digital” centered on the citizen through the reduction of the digital divide and the integration of new technologies in vital sectors such as health, education and agriculture. , and “the Environment and digital trust” by promoting the creation of a framework conducive to digital development, through the foundations of regulation, training and infrastructure, as well as the establishment and promotion of a digital culture.
Other achievements of the Agency were highlighted, notably the organization of the 1st edition of Gitex Africa Morocco placed under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and preparations for which are well underway for the holding of the 2nd edition planned in Marrakech from May 29 to 31 under the aegis of the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform.
At the end of this session, the Board of Directors approved the Agency’s budget for the 2024 financial year as well as the action plan which mainly concerns the support of the ministry, particularly in the digitalization of pathways. administrative by ensuring interoperability and data exchange, the development of new shared applications and common modules, the promotion of the digital ecosystem through initiatives such as the organization of the 2nd edition of Gitex Africa Morocco 2024, the continued development of the “Academia Raqmya” platform through the implementation of new online courses and digital passes for young people and entrepreneurs and the launch of the mobile application, improvement of the offer of value of the Moukawala Raqmya platform for supporting the company, and improving the value offer of the “Young Innovative Companies” platform and the “Startuphubmaroc” platform.
Also, the Board of Directors of the Agency decided to approve the annual accounts of the ADD for the financial years 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021.
Finally, the Council ratified the partnership conventions and international cooperation agreement protocols concluded by the ADD with its partners in terms of digital development and experience sharing.
