Bangladesh: Nobel Peace Prize Winner Muhammad Yunus Sworn in as⁢ Interim Government Leader

Dhaka, Bangladesh – ‍ Nobel Peace‍ Prize winner Muhammad Yunus was sworn in⁣ as the head of Bangladesh’s interim government on Thursday, ‌following Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s sudden‍ resignation amidst a popular uprising.

The ceremony took place at 9:22‌ PM on Thursday night and was attended ⁢by 14 out of​ the ‍17 members‍ of the interim government. The oath was administered ‍by Cabinet Secretary Mahbub Hossain.

Adilur Rahman Khan: Editor ‍of human rights organization Odhikar.
AF Hasan Arif: ‌Former Advisor to Caretaker Government and Former Attorney​ General.
Touhid Hossain: Former Foreign Secretary.
Syeda ⁢Rizwana Hasan: ​Chief Executive of Bangladesh Environmental Lawyers Association (BELA) and Supreme Court lawyer.
