The third continental conference for national team coaches was opened today, Tuesday, at the headquarters of the Asian Football Confederation in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, under the title (Analysis of the 2023 Asian Cup), with Iraqi participation, which witnessed the federation’s praise of the technical capabilities of our national football team.
National team coach Jesus Casas, Al-Ittihad technical director Wissam Najeeb Asliwa, and assistant coach Salvador Romero participated from Iraq.
Saliwa confirmed, in a statement received by the (INA), that “the Third AFC Conference indicated that the Iraqi national team is one of the best teams in terms of technical capabilities in retrieving the ball in a period of time not exceeding nine seconds, along with Saudi Arabia, Japan, South Korea, Iran and Australia, and that the national team Al-Iraqi is one of the best teams that plays on the wings.”
The statement added, “The conference, which will last for three days, discussed on its first day an analysis of the technical aspects of the Asian Cup, while during the next two days it will address scoring goals, set pieces, playing styles, and the best strikers in the tournament, as well as possession and pressure.”
