A married couple from the north of the country in their early forties maintained a special relationship that allowed each of them to go abroad separately once or twice a year, she with her girlfriends and he with his friends. The husband used to go on vacations in Israel once every two months and so did his wife. They were never away from home for more than two nights.
The husband told lawyer Sherin Solan that the last incident was the straw that broke the camel’s back. “My wife asked to fly with three of her good friends for four days to Paris. It was not acceptable between us, such long trips, but when I saw the excitement of her and her friends who came to our house one evening to plan the trip, I went along with them.”
The travel date arrived and the woman even asked her husband to drop her and her friend off at the airport and he did. “Even after she came back,” he said, “she came back with unusual experiences. She never stopped talking about how beautiful Paris is and how much she enjoys it every time she goes there.” Only by chance, through a video taken in Eilat and uploaded to the social network TikTok by one of the husband’s coworkers, his wife was seen in the background with another man – to whom the man was exposed and discovered the betrayal. At this point, when his wife shared the experiences, he had already revealed his vision to the big lie. “I don’t know if she was with a man in Eilat, I guess so, but one thing is clear: she was not in Paris and it was probably all a cover story.”
When the man confronted his wife with the video, she continued to deny it and claimed that “it’s not me in the picture and it’s not what you think.” Two months passed since the confrontation and in the end the husband was almost convinced until by chance another friend met him and asked him “Tell me why you didn’t come with your wife to Eilat? It was really nice.” A brief investigation revealed that his wife spent time in Eilat with one of the family’s best friends.
Only after he received photos from the shared pastime, the man made it clear to his wife that he wanted a divorce. The woman responded: “Why did it take you so long?”. And even though the couple decided to divorce, Attorney Solan sent the two to the standard procedure of conflict resolution, after which a divorce procedure will be conducted which will be very clear and consensual when the TikTok video will be presented as evidence of infidelity in court.
