This day, Friday August 04, 2023, the Amazon esplanade will vibrate to the rhythms and sounds of Beninese female music. Fifteen “amazons” mobilized by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts will deliver their best performances. Called “the Saga of the Agodjiés”, the concert aims to highlight the talent and bravery of Beninese artists. Angélique Kidjo, the international star will be the headliner of the evening.

About 6,000 people are expected at this concert scheduled to start at 9 p.m. in Cotonou. Participation in the concert is free on presentation of an entry ticket. The event will be broadcast live by national television and on the digital channels of Office de Radiodiffusion et Télévision du Bénin (ORTB) in order to bring this moment of conviviality and fraternity to life for all Beninese present on the national territory and beyond. beyond borders.

Which artists will be present?

The concert “La Saga des Agodjiés” will take place in two parts. In the first part, Faty, Bi Mari, Senan Noble, Kemy, Léman, Kumpan and Sessimè will take turns on the stage. They will then give way to another cohort of artists for the second part of the concert.

Are expected in this other phase Pépé Oleka, Nady Nady, Fanny Senan, Ayodele, Amy Mako, Teriba and Zeynab. In accordance with the schedule, the end of Zeynab’s performance will announce the entrance on stage of music diva Angelique Kidjo.
