Avaniyapuram: Keshini from Chettikulam, Madurai, who won gold in the Under-23 World Women’s Kettlebell Weightlifting Championship in Delhi, said, “My aim is to participate in heavy weight category competitions abroad, win gold medals and make the Indian national anthem sound.”

In this competition, equal weight of 16 kg in both hands should be performed in cycling mode for ten minutes. By doing it successfully, I became the first woman in India to win gold in the junior category. My desire is to participate in heavy weight category competitions abroad, win gold medals and sing our national anthem.

I have participated and succeeded in the male-only competition. He said this is my happiest moment.
