More than a year after the announcement of the construction in 2025 of the Aura Factory, a 40,000 m2 factory to produce a lot of Era, a 19-seater hybrid electric plane, on the Francazal site, near from Toulouse (Haute-Garonne ), Aura Aero continues its development. The aircraft manufacturer, committed to the decarbonization of aviation, took advantage of the Farnborough show in the United Kingdom to announce its upcoming establishment in the United States.
It is in Florida, within the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University research park, that Aura Aero decided to open its first American site. The first hangar of 1,000 m2 should house, at the end of 2024, the development work for the Integral E aircraft, intended for pilot training. The Daytona Beach site will also host, in the coming years, a 46,000 m2 production and assembly plant dedicated to its Era regional aircraft.
The strategic development of the partnership has begun in 2023 with the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and the establishment which responds to the desire to be closer to one of its main markets. More than half of the 500 examples of the pre-ordered Era hybrid jet are actually intended for the North American market.
