by time news

The director general of Beirut International Airport Rafik Hariri International Airport, Fadi al-Hassan, stated yesterday that the airport has set a new historical record in the number of arrivals to Lebanon on July 7, 2022 with close to 20,000 arrivals. He clarified that such a figure was not recorded in one day even before the corona.

According to al-Hassan, from July 1 to November 11, the number of arrivals through the airport reached 181,664, while the peak on July 7 reached 19,557 arrivals. In light of these data, the average daily number of arrivals since the beginning of July has reached 16,514, so on this basis the airport chiefs estimate that the expected number of arrivals to Lebanon through July alone will reach about 512,000 arrivals.

Al-Hassan estimates that the high traffic at Beirut airport will continue until the end of August – beginning of September.
