He Barcelona Grand Prix hosts one more year the appointment of the Formula 1 in Spanish territory. This weekend the seventh Grand Prix of the season will be held at the Circuit of Barcelona-Catalonia in the midst of a unique expectation. The ‘Alonsomania’ it’s back.
The great start of the season by Fernando Alonso and his new Aston Martin has revived the passion of Spanish fans for Formula 1. There are five podiums in six races that the Asturian driver has achieved, with the last second place in the Monaco Grand Prix. Alonso occupies third place in the drivers’ World Championship standings, just 12 points behind Sergio Perezranked second behind Max Verstappen.
The great performance of the single-seater of the Spanish driver once again makes all Alonso fans dream of the expected victory number 33. The previous Monaco Grand Prix was one of the opportunities marked on the calendar. It couldn’t be, it was very close. The Barcelona Grand Prix is perhaps not the most favorable for Fernando Alonso to prevail over the Red Bulls. Even so, the encouragement of the Spanish fan will surely help the Asturian driver to be more competitive.
The last edition of the Grand Prix was already a great success. However, the figures considered for this weekend in Montmeló they are even better. they are already 100,000 tickets sold and there are only 20,000 left for sale, so the weekend at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya points to ‘sold out’.
