Alzamora Group, leading group in the manufacture of cardboard packaging, managed to raise the turnover figure of almost 50 million euros in 2022, surpassing the previous record. According to a statement from the Garrotsina company, the group’s main headquarters, Alzamora Carton Packaging, has grown by 23%, while Novotipo, its subsidiary in Portugal, has grown by 37%. “These results are the result of the professional and committed work of the entire team. In addition to our constant commitment to digitization and innovation in our production process”, says Josep Mª Berga, general manager of the group.
Alzamora continues with his internationalization planwhich is already bearing fruit with a export growth of 23%. “We have a good rate of sales abroad, with the forecast that they will grow significantly in the short term,” says the company’s export director.
The group has positioned itself in countries such as the United Kingdom, increasing its sales and collaborating with a new strategic partner
Regarding the expansion process, the company has announced the collaboration with a strategic partner in the United Kingdom, with whom he has increased his production capacity. “This new collaboration will allow both of us to reach new milestones in the European market”, says Berga.
More productive capacity
2022 has also been a year marked by new investments in Alzamora Group with the aim ofincrease productive capacity and competitiveness, using state-of-the-art machinery. An example of this is the installation of a new state-of-the-art BOBST die cutting machine at the head office.
Another of the group’s performances has been theoptimization of facilities so that they are more energy efficientbetting on the decarbonisation of production plants.
An objective he has achieved by replacing a 1000 kW gas boiler with a 200 kW heat pump, considering that this was one of the company’s highest consumptions. The automation and energy control system integrates two sources of production in order to maximize the use of the heat pump towards the boiler.
Alzamora Group has started 2023 with good prospects. During the month of January, the company was recognized at the WorldStar Packaging Awards 2022, the most important global distinction in the packaging industry. A milestone achieved thanks to the innovative solution for the ENOVO poultry sector, which is part of its sustainable and biodegradable Green Packaging Planet line.
