The 53-year-old American film actress Anne Haish was fatally injured last night (Friday) after she collided with her car at a private home in Los Angeles. Hayes, who starred in many blockbusters in the 1990s such as “6 Days, 7 Nights”, “Donnie Brasco” and “I Know What You Did Last Summer”, was rescued from her car – when a large fire broke out following the serious accident.
“The female driver was traveling at a high rate of speed, lost control and crashed into a residence,” said Los Angeles Police Department Public Information Officer Jeff Lee. “A fire broke out in the house and the car was engulfed in flames. The driver was taken to the hospital in serious condition, suffering from burns,” he added.
The 59 firefighters who were called to the scene took over an hour to extinguish the blaze, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported. Meanwhile, a video from a doorbell camera of a house located near the scene was circulated on the networks, in which the actress’s car can be seen losing control.
