The Russian Ministry of Digital Development included the Red OS M operating system (OS), compatible with Android applications, in the register of Russian software, a representative of the system developer, Red Soft, told Vedomosti. The entry in the register appeared on October 18.
“Red OS M is the first mobile OS on the Russian market, built using the developments of the Android Open Source Project (AOSP),” the Red Soft representative emphasized. “The inclusion of Red OS M in the register of domestic software means that the solution complies with the standards of the Ministry of Digital Development and is recommended for use by government agencies and companies with state participation,” he added.
A representative of the Ministry of Digital Development confirmed to Vedomosti that the OS was included in the register of Russian software. “By law, software from the registry has preferences in state and municipal procurement,” he added.
