The annual ranking of the world armies: Who is stronger – the IDF or rather the Iranian army?

by time news

Four places above us: According to the “global firepower” website, a website that ranks the world’s armies and compares countries – Iran’s army is stronger than the IDF in several degrees. According to the ranking, published last night (Wednesday), Israel is in 18th place and Iran in 18th 14.

According to the ranking, in the past year, Israel has jumped two places up, from twentieth place to 18th place. This is a return to where Israel was in 2020. However, it is precisely the Iranians who remain in the same place – 14 as stated. However, you will already understand why this figure is inaccurate to say the least.

The most powerful army in the world is that of the United States, followed by rival Russia and China respectively. They are followed in descending order – India, Japan, South Korea, France, the United Kingdom, Pakistan and Brazil. This is the top ten according to “global firepower”.

Between Israel, which is in 18th place, and Iran, which is in 14th place, there are the armies of Indonesia, Germany and Australia. The second ten are closed, after Israel in descending order, Turkey, Egypt and Italy. This is according to the ranking.

As mentioned, this is an inaccurate number, because the “global firepower” website did not address foreign publications around the world – according to which Israel has nuclear weapons. According to other rankings, Israel defeats Iran – because the Persians in Tehran do not yet have nuclear weapons.

Another reason why their number is inaccurate – is because the site measures mainly by the size of the army relative to the size of the population, and not by advanced weapons and developed capabilities that the army will have. “The military comparison between Israel and Iran does not reflect the fact that Iran is far from Israel and therefore does not have a large army, while Israel has military capabilities to reach as far as Iran itself and harm it in various infrastructures,” wrote one of the experts in the field, Michael Peck.

The “global firepower” website also examined the armies of our neighboring countries. Lebanon is in 113th place and not particularly flattering, Jordan in 75th place and Syria in 47th place. Iraq is in 34th place and Saudi Arabia in 20th place. United Arab Emirates, is in 36th place.

Bhutan closes the list in last place, in 140th place, ahead of Kosovo, Somalia, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Suriname, Northern Macedonia, the Central African Republic, Panama and Montenegro.
