The annual sports competition, 2024 is being held at Walton Hi-Tech Park in Chandra, Gazipur. Under this, football tournament is going on from September 7, 2024 along with various sports. 32 teams of employees from various operating departments and units participated in it.
It should be noted that due to various demands of the workers, unrest is going on in Gazipur, Savar and Ashulia industrial areas. Hundreds of factories were closed due to the unrest. Many factories are still closed. However, Walton Hi-Tech Park in Chandra has a different picture. There are thousands of workers, officials and employees who have participated in the sports festival. Thousands of workers, officers and employees of Walton enjoy the joy of playing football in the afternoon and evening after the whole day’s work. All in all, Walton Hi-Tech Park has created a festive environment for sports. Walton’s senior officials appeared in person adding to the mood of the festival.
In continuation of this, Chairman SM Shamchul Alam and Vice Chairman SM Ashraful Alam of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC were present to watch the football tournament last Tuesday (September 24).
Deputy Managing Director (DMD) Md. Senior Executive Director and Sports Committee President Sohail Rana is conducting the annual sports competition under the supervision of Yusuf Ali. Engineer Mujahidul Islam is the Sports Coordinator, Engineer Md. Hasibul Islam and Engineer Apple Mahmood.
The first game of the day on Tuesday was a goalless draw between Fresia and Team Hybrid. The second game of the day pitted Nine-Eagle against CFCLT. Nine-Eagles won the game with Khan Asif’s only goal assisted by Sagib.
Attractive awards are given to all players of the match including Emerging Player of the Match, Man of the Match, Referee, Assistant Referee. Special awards were given to 20 people from among the spectators in the game as the best cheerleaders.
Chairman of Walton Hi-Tech SM Shamchul Alam handed over the prizes to the winners. DMD was also present at this time.
