In a press release, the collective “Where is my cycle” thanks the institutions for taking up this file and the media for relaying this information. However, the latter wishes to recall that in January, the same press denied the impact of vaccination on the menstrual cycle and that these same institutions remained walled in silence.
Women affected by menstrual disorders that appeared after vaccination against Covid-19 are invited to declare them on the portal of the Ministry of Health (signalement.social-sante.gouv.fr), providing “the most detailed information possible in the declaration form”said Tuesday, July 19 the Medicines Agency (ANSM).
It has posted a declaration assistance guide online as well as tutorials for patients and healthcare professionals. The elements collected must allow “to the regional pharmacovigilance centers to carry out their evaluation of declared cases in the most efficient way possible”she adds.
In a press release posted online on July 20, the “Où est mon cycle” collective “welcomes” to see French institutions take up the subject relating to the impact of vaccination against Covid-19 on menstrual cycles. and on female fertility, and thanks the press mainstream for having relayed the AFP dispatch which urges women to report these troubles. However, the collective emphasizes: “For many months, in the denial of this same press, it is important to remember that on January 7, 2022, AFP announced that vaccination did not cause a “clinically significant change” in the menstrual cycle, in the silence of medicine , in the silence of the institutions.“
