With time counting down for the traffic charges 2025 and their payment, the answer from the Ministry of Finance is clear, regarding the possibility of extension. The deadline expires on December 31st. “No extension” is the message sent by the Ministry of National Economy and Finance, announcing in all directions that the 2025 road tax must be paid within the deadline. Otherwise fines lurk, which this year is serial and linked to when the late payment will be made.
It is worth remembering that compared to last year, traffic taxes are unchanged. In other words, owners of IX vehicles and machines have received notices with the same amounts.
2025 road tax and fines
Based on what has been announced, since an extension cannot be granted, those who do not pay the 2025 road tax will face the following fines:
- A 25% increase in the amount of traffic fees, when the payment is made by 31/1/2025.
- A 50% increase in the amount of traffic fees, when the payment is made within the month of February 2025.
- Those who pay double 2025 traffic charges from 1/3/2025 and later or continue until partial payment or non-payment of Traffic Charges for the year 2025.
