With the aim of increasing the consumption of European fruits and vegetables in three countries, Greece, Germany and Sweden, the European program EU F&V Consumption, with the strong message “Go Greener, Feel Better with European Fruits and Vegetables”, presents two representative products from Greece, asparagus and kiwis, to stimulate the senses of the consumer public and inform them about balanced and correct nutritional practices.

In our quest for a healthier lifestyle, we often look for detoxification methods that will “cleanse” our bodies and enhance our well-being. Among the foods indicated for detoxification, asparagus occupies a dominant position, as its antioxidant effect is very strong. This vibrant green vegetable not only adds flavor to our plate, but also contributes catalytically to the detoxification of our body.

The nutritional power of asparagus

Asparagus is a vegetable rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, making it an invaluable addition to any diet focused on detoxification. Rich in vitamins, asparagus supports the immune system and many other functions of our body.

The antioxidant properties of asparagus

Asparagus contains a number of powerful antioxidants, including glutathione, which is known for its detoxifying properties. Glutathione plays an important role in detoxification functions and supporting the body.
Including asparagus in our detox diet is easy and,
mostly, delicious. Asparagus, grilled or boiled, is the perfect side dish for our daily meal. We can add it to our salad or consume it in a super nutritious green smoothie. Therefore, asparagus combines taste, flexibility in the way of consumption and multiple benefits for our health.
