Since the morning of this Friday, March 31, 2023, we have known the different dates of the shows organized by the French Institute of Benin (Ifb) for the months of April, May and June. The presentation of this program of cultural activities was made during a press breakfast which mobilized several journalists. It was Fabienne Bidou, the delegate director of the Ifb who, with the contributions of artists such as Athanase Dèhumon of the Gangbé Brass Band Group, Rafiy Okefolahan (visual artist) and Rachelle Agbossou, artistic director of Walô Dance Center, carried out the disclosure of the skilfully concocted program for the pleasure of music and art lovers. We note that this program runs from this Saturday 1is April 2023. This through the production on stage, from 8:30 p.m., at the Ifb greenery theater, of the famous fanfare orchestras of Benin, the Gangbé Brass Band (by way of opening the activities of this quarter) . The concert according to Athanase Dehumon will, once again, show the richness of the repertoire of the said group, which has performed all over the world either for tours or for performances in the biggest jazz festivals and collaborations of the most unpublished.

In addition to this concert, Fabienne Bidou announced that the public will be entitled to the recital of the groups Harmony’s Band, Assia Brass Band, Ayessi Brass Band, Ifè Brass Band, the Female Fanfare Relp from Togo and Les Pépit’Arts from Benin. This show, which will be held on Saturday April 8 from 6 p.m., still at the Théâtre de verdure, will start with a carnival that will leave from Terres Rouges in Cadjèhoun to end at the Ifb via Camp Guézo.
