Odeh said that he does not have the privilege to refuse a meeting with the Prime Minister. “We are ready to turn over every stone in order to defeat crime.” In addition, he called on Ra’am members to join them and unite around a number of main demands in order to reach a united front for the meeting with the Prime Minister.
On the other hand, MK Mansour Abbas (RAM) demanded the full implementation of government resolutions 550 and 549 of the Bennett government (The five-year plan and the decision to eradicate violence). Abbas also said that The Prime Minister decided to boycott the meeting, because the government did not commit to implementing the decisions. In addition, Abbas demands the dismissal of Itamar Ben Gabir and the establishment of a ministerial committee to eradicate violence and a public council to accompany the projector’s work. In the council, as Ram demands, there will be representatives of the Arab society.
In the letter addressed by the Ra’am faction to the Prime Minister, the demands were also raised for the establishment of police stations in the Arab settlements, a fight against the phenomenon of sponsorship fees, a fight against the criminal organizations and their involvement in tenders, the rehabilitation of criminals and in-depth treatment of idle youths.
