The Arab Theater Authority has determined the mechanisms and conditions for participation in its competitions and festival, which it organizes annually in an Arab country.
The Secretary-General of the Arab Theater Authority, Ismail Abdullah, told the (INA), “The new conditions give flexibility and open greater opportunities for creatives of all ages.”
He added, “In order to develop the mechanisms and conditions for participation in the competitions organized by the Authority in the tracks of the Arab Theater Festival, and based on the evaluations it conducted by examining the work of the festival and competitions during the previous sessions, reinforced by the consultations and proposals of the Board of Trustees in its last meeting held within the framework of the 14th session of the Theater Festival.” Al-Arabi in Baghdad, which is that the authority decided that the festival should maintain two tracks for performances.
He continued: “The first: performances competing for the Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi Award for Best Arab Theatrical Work, and the second: hosted theatrical performances,” indicating: “I also decided to open the door for performances that were based on Arabic treatments of non-Arabic texts to participate in the competition for the Sheikh Sultan Award.” Bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, and canceling the production date requirement, while maintaining the condition of not accepting offers that had previously been submitted to participate in previous editions of the festival unless they have been reproduced after that submission.”
