The Arc A770 card will arrive next month for $329

by time news

Intel announced that the Arc A770, the most powerful and advanced graphics card of its production to date, will hit store shelves on October 12 at a price starting at $329. This price puts it against the competitors’ mid-range models: Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3060 and AMD’s Radeon RX 6650 XT, with Intel claiming that their processor offers up to 65 percent faster ray tracing performance than other cards in the same segment price.

The Arc A770 cards will come with 32 Xe cores operating at a frequency of 2.1 GHz, alongside 8 or 16 GB of GDDR6 working memory. Intel introduces a new technology called XeSS as a counterpart to AMD’s FSR or Nvidia’s DLSS, as a royal intelligence mechanism to improve performance. The energy consumption is 225 watts. The company designates it for gaming at 1080p resolutions, and demonstrated it in action with games such as Cyberpunk 2077 and Ghostwire Tokyo.

Of course, it is the reviews and performance tests that will testify whether Intel was indeed able to defeat the other manufacturers in the intermediate category, or whether its entry into the field will not bring about a major revolution.

Next to the A770, next month Intel will also launch the A750, with 28 Xe cores, a clock speed of 2.05 GHz, and 8 GB of working memory. Here, too, performance is guaranteed to be sufficient for “most” games, although Intel did not provide more detailed performance data, nor did it announce the launch price.
