Chief of Army Staff General Waqar-uz-Zaman visited the flood-affected areas at Chagalnaya in Feni district. During the visit, he distributed relief to the flood victims in Chagalnaya and adjoining areas of Feni district.
This information was informed in a press release sent by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Tuesday (August 27).
According to ISPR, after that, he was informed about the demand for essential goods from the flood victims and exchanged views on what to do to make the ongoing rescue and relief distribution activities more effective from the representatives of the voluntary organizations.
At this time, he provided necessary guidance to the army personnel engaged in rescue and relief distribution work.
Besides the General Officer Commanding 33 Infantry Division and Area Commander Comilla Area, senior army officers of the headquarters were present during the visit.
Incidentally, this operation of the army will continue until the flood situation becomes normal.
