The art of empowerment from action #ArtsActs4Women

Work of Maria Frangoudakis.

For visual artist Maria Fragoudaki, art can be a powerful tool for social change, as she has proven in the past. Motivated by International Women’s Day, but also by the love and positive energy she received by completing the #ArtActs4Kids initiative, she created the interactive art act #ArtActs4Women. “I am interested in creating visual dialogues between people who are strangers to each other, but who are bound by the love of art and the willingness to help the very important work of small associations, such as Amymoni and the SHE-Society,” he says to “K ». So, in collaboration with Art Hub Athens, they invited artists and non-artists to create an original work of art, handing them a postcard-sized card with a free theme. These cards are now part of an online exhibition and available for sale until April 10th. All proceeds will be donated to the organization SHE-Society for Help & Empowerment, whose work aims to empower women and members of the LGBTI+ community, defend and promote their rights, as well as their continued support in all aspects of their lives.
