The Security Media Cell announced today, Wednesday, that the security plan for the Ashura visit is proceeding smoothly, confirming that no violations have been recorded.

The head of the cell, Major General Tahseen Al-Khafaji, told the (INA): “The Joint Operations Command began some time ago to prepare for the Ashura visit plan in cooperation with the Supreme Security Committee,” indicating that “the plan includes preparing and sorting the units and working to secure a safe environment for the visitors.”

He pointed out that “technology has been introduced into the security plan, which distinguishes it from previous years, such as drones, surveillance cameras, and cyber security,” stressing that “the security plan is proceeding smoothly, and we have not recorded any security breaches so far.”

Al-Khafaji added, “The security services and the Supreme Security Committee are making great efforts to ensure the success of the plan to visit the tenth of Muharram.”
