An assassination attempt was made against Donald Trump. Joe Biden was overthrown by his own party. The question can rightly arise as to what can be done before the November 5 elections? One thing is certain: the cold civil war in America that has been going on for almost a decade is getting hotter and hotter. The slowly prevailing chaos is not good for the USA, the West, or the world. Is there anything to be hopeful about?
Anatomy of a Political Assassination
43 years ago, in the spring of 1981, John Hinckley Jr. opened fire on President Ronald Reagan, who, although seriously injured, survived.
56 years ago, Robert F. Kennedy – the father of Kennedy, who is running as an independent this year – was fatally wounded when he was shot by the radical anti-Zionist activist Sirhan Sirhan. He was the last presidential candidate to be the victim of a political assassination. In both cases, various conspiracy theories arose, but few now dispute that the perpetrators were lone lunatics. The situation is different in the case of John F. Kennedy. The belief that the assassination of the 35th president of the USA was ordered by the Washington elite – as we would say today, the “deep state” – persists. Who accuses the CIA, who accuses the leadership of the Democratic Party of planning the assassination. It doesn’t help that some of the investigative material still hasn’t been declassified.
On Saturday, July 13, near Butler, Pennsylvania, shots were fired at 6:11 p.m., two of which missed Donald Trump’s head by only centimeters, and one grazed the presidential candidate’s ear. Moments like these inspire the alternate worlds of science fiction. There is no dispute that when Thomas Matthew Crooks pulled the trigger, the United States was at a historic crossroads. But was there a conspiracy, or was it all the partisanship of a radical young man?
There are compelling arguments that the assassin acted alone. The weapon he uses, an AR-15, is not a sniper rifle. The distance of 133 meters is within shooting distance, but not by much. If someone manually controlled the young man, he would presumably be using a different kind of weapon. He would also have known not to aim for the head. The speaker – this is especially true for Trump – often emphasizes what he is saying with facial expressions, gesticulations and sudden head movements. This also saved the Republican leader’s life.
At the same time, the services providing Trump’s protection have committed a series of omissions for which satisfactory answers are difficult to find. How could they leave the roof of a building that overlooks the lectern unguarded? Since the assassination, it has been revealed that members of the presidential bodyguard, the FBI, and the police became suspicious of Crooks an hour before the shooting due to his unusual behavior, yet they failed to stop him. Nor can we trust that the FBI’s investigation will end with a satisfactory result, since this is the body that the Bidens used to prepare trumped-up charges against Trump. Armed FBI agents searched Donald Trump’s Florida residence almost exactly two years ago when the Democratic administration’s Justice Department began its witch hunt.
One thing is certain: without the incessant incitement of left-wing politicians and the mainstream media, none of this could have happened. Since his political debut, Donald Trump has been constantly demonized by the entire North American and Western European political and media elite. Since the domestic affiliates of left-wing journalism also took their share of this activity – so our readers are also aware of its nature – let me just quote a quote from Joe Biden: “Donald Trump is a real threat to this nation. A threat to our freedom. It threatens our democracy. It literally threatens everything America stands for.”
The European left rages against the conservatives with a similar, visceral hatred, which contributed to the fact that the Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico was seriously wounded in an attack this year. Thus, it is almost impossible to keep political discussions in a civilized way, and there are inevitably unstable persons who can take up arms. All this makes real democratic competition impossible at a time when there is the greatest need for opinions to clash openly: in the middle of a serious international security crisis. The biggest threat to our democracy is liberal frenzy.
On the edge of a liberal coup
The left is raging because it has lost control over the narrative that has so far determined society’s thinking. That’s why one hasty mistake after another is made, and that’s why the elite of the Democratic Party turned against their own candidate. After the presidential debate, it became obvious to everyone what conservative analysts have been talking about for a long time: Joe Biden’s health makes it impossible for him to perform the duties of the presidency. The members of Biden’s cabinet, the leadership of his party and the liberal media have been perfectly aware of this fact for years. Nevertheless, they only took action against the president when they felt their own power was in danger, all the tactics used to undermine Biden became ineffective, and the obvious could no longer be disguised. In addition, the Democratic Party deprived its own voters of their right to nominate a successor to the aging president during the primary election period, since they disabled any politician who could have been a serious challenger to Biden.
The extent to which the left-wing political elite is not driven by the American interest is confirmed more than anything else by the fact that they did a half-hearted job. The Democratic party clans led by Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Nancy Pelosi only withdrew the spectacularly weakened Joe Biden from the nomination. Until January 20, 2025, the United States will be led by a man whom everyone, including the West’s fiercest enemies, knows for sure is at the end of his mental powers. With this step, the Democratic Party is betraying the most basic security interests of the USA. Why? Because if Biden remains president until the election and Kamala Harris becomes the new candidate, they will have easier access to the campaign money (about one hundred million dollars) that they cheated from the party’s supporters by pretending that they were working on re-election. Endless cynicism.
Where to next, America?
There can be no doubt that the USA is experiencing its biggest domestic political crisis since the secession of the southern states. After a particularly close presidential election result – which half of the electorate would certainly not accept as legitimate regardless of who wins – the threat of a constitutional crisis also looms. We must face reality: America is only one step away from the precipice, and the political winds are blowing at hurricane force.
However, the leading superpower of the West – despite all its self-defeating mistakes and self-delusions – is still a democracy. If in November the voters have enough wisdom and cohesion to make a clear and unquestionable decision, then the raging, hysterical liberal elite can be replaced. Primarily because the American friends of the Hungarian conservatives at the Heritage Foundation have developed a plan called Project 2025, which will allow the incoming Trump administration to quickly and efficiently drain the swamp. A landslide conservative victory requires three things: a little luck, a lot of work, and the mistakes of the Democratic Party. We can see that there is no shortage of the latter, just as there is no shortage of right-wing zeal. And nowadays, who would dispute that Donald Trump is a blessing in disguise?
