The association of passengers appealed to Golikova due to QR codes in transport

by time news

The introduction of the QR code system in transport will create problems and will not help stop the spread of coronavirus, Ilya Zotov, head of the Association of the All-Russian Association of Passengers, believes. He sent a letter about this to Deputy Prime Minister, head of the headquarters for combating the spread of coronavirus Tatyana Golikova. The document is at the disposal of RBC.

The association calls the amount of time it will take to check the QR code per passenger – this is an additional 20-30 seconds. During peak hours, such a situation can lead to blocking of public transport, lengthen the route and increase the costs of thousands of carriers across the country, which will put them on the brink of bankruptcy.

“This circumstance will contribute to the transport collapse of Russian cities and reduce the transport accessibility of passengers,” the letter says.

As a risk factor, passengers cite the lack of vaccines in some regions. The launch of QR codes in transport only contributes to the spread of fictitious vaccination certificates, the letter says.

The authors of the letter, instead of QR codes, suggest changing the working hours of the largest enterprises in the cities. People will commute to work at different times, which means that transport will be less loaded.

Ilya Zotov previously also commented on the launch of the QR code system in Tatarstan, calling this decision absurd.

»Make a decision and start the process, but at the same time do not explain to the direct participants how to do it correctly. Carriers in Tatarstan do not know how to check QR codes for passengers and are waiting for the necessary decisions from the republican government. The carriers note that the introduction of QR codes in the buses of Kazan was not discussed either with them or with the association, that is, no joint action algorithms were developed, “he noted.
