The man who started the shooting at the Perm State National Research University (PGNIU) on September 20, had his left leg amputated, Izvestia reported, citing a source. Telegram channels Baza and Shot also wrote about this.

Doctors had to do this because of blood clots in the leg, Izvestia clarifies. At the moment, the patient’s condition is assessed as serious.

According to Baza, the shooter is connected to a ventilator. His life is not in danger “except for a sudden, unpredictable deterioration in his condition,” the channel notes. At the same time, doctors admit that the patient may have kidney failure “due to multiple severe injuries.”
