The independent producers from Lugo come together to look after the interests of their members

Two months ago, the Association of Independent Producers of Lugo (APRIL) joined with the objective of bring together different professionals of the audiovisual production sector. Currently there are 30 partners who decided to join the 17 founders with all kinds of professional profiles. Several scriptwriters, technicians, producers, drone operators, marketing experts and also image and sound teachers are part of the collective.
Alfonso Díez Veiga, one of the founding members and president of the association, defends the importance of this type of collective to publicize the work of its members, as well as the need to create a official representation before the administrations.

In APRIL there are production companies that work for large international firms such as NIKE or for Japanese television, and others that sell their documentaries to European countries such as Poland or the Czech Republic. Thanks to the visibility of the association they will be able to make yourself known before the media and promote their work.
In addition, Alfonso Díez points out that one of his main motivations is to encourage the development of the sector with the proposal of courses and activities“especially those linked to the training of professionals and promotion of the territory”.

Through the synergy of the work of its partners, they hope to ensure that competition in the sector’s market is on an equal footing, since their project was born from the common needs of its members.

«APRIL» was created to represent the individual and collective interests of the members, but also to denounce malpractice through the grouping of audiovisual production professionals from Lugo.
