The Presidium of the Government Commission on Digital Development has approved the strategy for the digital transformation of the Russian economy, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said. He noted that “this year’s events” helped shape it. What exactly is included in the strategy has not yet been reported.
“We have approved the digital transformation strategies and will begin the systematic implementation of the adopted documents,” said Mr. Chernyshenko, whose words were quoted in the office of the Deputy Prime Minister (quoted by TASS). “This year’s events, as well as decisive actions by the state and business, helped us to form programs, on which the well-being of the whole country will depend ”.
According to him, digitalization has covered “all areas of Russian business, which was rapidly changing under the influence of the pandemic.”
Last summer, Russian President Vladimir Putin identified digital transformation as a national development goal until 2030. During 2020, leaders of digital transformation were appointed in all federal departments – they were to submit action plans. Mr. Chernyshenko said that by the end of 2020, 60 such plans had been submitted.
