In accordance with them, the level of collective immunity in St. Petersburg at that time was 85.8%; 3.5 million people were vaccinated with the first component, 3.3 million people were fully vaccinated.

In mid-January, the Ministry of Health named Chukotka, where this indicator, according to the deputy head of the department, approached 100%, and the Belgorod region among the regions – leaders in terms of herd immunity. As of February 11, it is 77.8% and 66.8% respectively.

Throughout Russia, according to the operational headquarters, it is 61.9%. Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said that the authorities are striving to raise the level of herd immunity in Russia to 80%, and ideally to 95%. According to the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova, against the backdrop of the spread of the more contagious variant of the coronavirus “omicron”, the figure should exceed 90%.

Starting next week, some coronavirus restrictions will be relaxed in St. Petersburg. From Monday, February 21, restaurants and cafes, concert halls, cinemas, attractions and water parks will be able to work until 2:00 local time, and not until 23:00 as before. From the same day, writes Fontanka with reference to Vice Governor Boris Piotrovsky, people with antibodies to COVID-19 will be able to receive a QR code on the Gosuslugi portal. After that, they will be able to visit museums, exhibitions, cinemas, theaters, swimming pools, fitness centers, rest houses, cafes and sanatoriums.
