The Ministry of Industry and Trade sent out to representatives of the business community a new version of the draft law on amendments to the Tax Code, which proposes to completely abolish the personal income tax (PIT) from the sale of recycled materials. This was reported by the Izvestia newspaper with reference to the document. At the moment, there is such a tax, in the previous version of the project it was proposed to exempt individuals from personal income tax when selling recyclables only with income from this up to 4 thousand rubles.

The draft law recognizes waste paper, waste plastic and glass containers, rubber that have lost their consumer properties in the process of their use and consumption as secondary raw materials. Regulation on exemption from personal income tax for income from sales in the amount of up to 4 thousand rubles. in the new version of the bill remains for scrap and waste of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade is not the developer of the project, although it supports the initiative, the department specified to the publication.

Earlier, the Russian Environmental Operator (REO) advocated the complete abolition of personal income tax on the delivery of all types of secondary raw materials. According to the head of the REO Denis Butsaev, this will motivate citizens to donate waste and form a new sector of employment. Note that at the moment in Russia there is an opportunity not to pay personal income tax when selling waste that has been owned for more than three years.
