Amendments have been made to the “Charter of the legal entity of public law “Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan” (Azercosmos)”.
As Day.Az reported on Monday, the decision to this effect was signed by Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov.
According to the document, the authorized capital of Azercosmos has been increased from 295 million 605 thousand 880 manats to 398 million 605 thousand 880 manats.
It should be noted that at the end of 2023, the income of Azercosmos OJSC from the provision of satellite and telecommunications services amounted to 19.8 million US dollars. This is 25.56 percent, or $6.8 million, less than the 2022 figure. According to the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications of Azerbaijan, in December alone, Azercosmos’ income from the export of services to 45 countries amounted to $1.8 million.
During the reporting period, according to the center, the JSC exported satellite and telecommunications services to the UK (5.8 million dollars), Luxembourg (4.1 million dollars), the UAE (1.6 million dollars), Germany (one million dollars) and Nigeria ($724.9 thousand).
