Muscat: Temperatures in Oman are expected to reach 50 degrees Celsius, according to the National Weather Service. According to meteorologists, temperatures in the deserts of the country will reach 50 degrees Celsius in the coming days. The country recorded a high of 49 degrees Celsius on Friday.

The Fahud area in the Ibri region recorded the highest temperature of 49 degrees Celsius in the country yesterday. The maximum temperature was recorded at 48.8 degrees Celsius in Khar Alam in Al Khabil district and 48 degrees Celsius in Al Mudibial in Bahla district. The city of Al Sunaina recorded 47.7 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Niswa was 47.6 degrees Celsius, according to a report released by the Directorate of Meteorology.

Inspection to see if the lunch rule is being followed; 100 violations found
Kuwait City: Authorities in Kuwait have identified 100 violations related to the lunch break law. 155 workplaces were inspected to see if the law was being complied with. So far, nine complaints have been received through the WhatsApp number provided for reporting violations.

Of the establishments inspected, 51 were found to be complying with the noon rest law. Last week, officials visited 12 construction sites in the Al Masayil area of ​​Mubarak’s Al Kabeer Governorate. In hot weather in the country, direct sunlight in open spaces from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. is prohibited.

The Public Authority for Manpower has said it is committed to protecting workers’ rights. Lunch is allowed as per the law of the country 535/2015. In addition to warning, action will be taken if violations are found, the company’s files will be closed and a fine of 100 dinars per worker will be imposed. If the violation is repeated, the penalty will be doubled. Action will also be taken against workers who work in violation of the law. But if the employer is forced to work with the employees, a case will be filed against the company as well.
