According to reports in the American media, the transaction is expected to affect the entire pilot sector also in competing companies such as American and United Airlines. In fact, Delta pilots will receive a salary increase of at least 18% on the day the contract is signed, as well as an additional 5% increase after one year, 4% after two years, and an additional 4% after three years, according to a draft of the contract published on Reuters.
