On Saturday, March 9, the award ceremony for the winners and prize-winners of the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup took place at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, Day.Az reports with reference to Trend.

Medals were awarded to representatives of men’s artistic gymnastics – in floor exercises, parallel bars and rings exercises, and representatives of women’s artistic gymnastics – in vault and uneven bars exercises.

In floor exercises, Egor Sharamkov (neutral status) rose to the highest step of the podium, Kazuki Minami (Japan) took second place, and Carlos Adriel Yulo (Philippines) took third place.

The awards were presented by the technical delegate of the International Gymnastics Federation Andrew Tombs, the President of the Serbian Gymnastics Federation Sasa Velickovic, the President of the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines Cynthia-Carrion Norton.

In the vault, Valentina Georgieva (Bulgaria) won the gold medal, Chan Ok An (Democratic People’s Republic of Korea) won the silver medal, and Carla Navas (Panama) won the bronze medal.

The awards were presented by the technical delegate of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) Kim Dowdell, the President of the Latvian Gymnastics Federation Evgeniy Sapronenko, and the manager of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (AGF) Farhad Ahmedbeyli.

In the parallel bars exercise, Ilya Kovtun (Ukraine) took first place, Jingyuan Zou (China) took second place, and Angel Barajas (Colombia) took third place.

The awards were presented by the President of the Technical Committee for Men’s Artistic Gymnastics FIG Arthur Mickiewicz, Head of the Gymnastics Department of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports Gyurka Gancheva, Manager of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (AGF) Mehman Aliyev.

In the uneven bars exercise, Kaylia Nemours (Algeria) won the gold medal, Elisa Iorio (Italy) won the silver medal, and Caitlin Jong (USA) won the bronze medal.

The awards were presented by the President of the African Gymnastics Union Ehab Amin Esavi, the sports director of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (AGF) Natalya Bulanova, and the sports manager of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (AGF) Elmira Aliyeva.

In the rings exercise, Hao Yu (China) took first place, Jingyuan Zou (China) took second place, and Samir Ait Said (France) took third place.

The awards were presented by the Secretary General of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (AGF) Nurlana Mammadzade, the vice-president of the FIG Technical Committee for Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Nehad Zayed, and the international category judge for men’s artistic gymnastics Rza Aliyev.

It should be noted that the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup is taking place at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku on March 7-10. Representatives from 67 countries take part in the competition.
