The International Mugham Center hosted an award ceremony for the winners of the II National Television Festival of Sports Films and Programs, established by the National Olympic Committee (NOC), Day.Az reports.

At the opening, the Anthem of Azerbaijan was played, and the memory of the martyrs was honored with a minute of silence.

The event was attended by Vice-President of the NOC Chingiz Huseynzade, Secretary General of the NOC Azer Aliyev, Chairman of the festival jury, Olympic champion Zemfira Meftakhetdinova, Chairman of the Judo Club 2012 NGO, President of the Azerbaijan Judo Veterans Association, world champion, member of the executive committee of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation Azer Askerov , representatives of the sports community, world and Olympic champions, heads of sports federations and television channels, public figures.

Vice-President of the NOC Chingiz Huseynzade, who spoke at the ceremony, welcomed the guests and spoke about the importance of the festival. He noted that the National Television Festival of Sports Films and Programs was established in 2022.

“If 40 video works were presented at the first festival, this time 54 video works were presented. This means that the festival is a success and is of great importance for the promotion and development of sports in Azerbaijan. I have a wish to bring the festival to the international level. I “I am confident that we will achieve this. I congratulate the winners and wish them success in their future activities,” he said.

The winners in various categories of the festival were awarded cash prizes provided by the partner – the Union of Cinematographers of Azerbaijan. Organizational support for the award ceremony was provided by the Cinema Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The winner in the nomination was the advertising video “Shine like a star”, presented by the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation.

In nomination “Future Winners” The winner was the material of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation (ACF) “The Future of Our Judo”.

ACF achieved another success at the festival in the category “Gentle Hero” with the material “Girls in White Suits”.

İdman TV’s film “Unknown Hero. Zuleikha Hajiyeva” was recognized as the best in the nomination “Sport for Life”

The documentary film “Victory is just faith”, presented by the media organization “90plus”, received the main prize from the jury in the category “Strong-willed”

Special awards from the festival organizing committee were also presented at the ceremony. The documentary film “Kickboxing” (İdman TV) and the video “Children’s Athletics” (Azerbaijan Athletics Federation) were awarded in the “Future Winners” category. The videos “12 seconds” (Azerbaijan Shooting Federation) and “March 8 – International Women’s Day” (Azerbaijan Judo Federation) were awarded a special award in the “Advertising and Promotional Videos” category.

The television film “Know Ours” (Azerbaijan national representative office of the Interstate TV Company “MIR”) was awarded in the category “Strong in Spirit”, Miragi Aliyev’s short film “Golden Glove – Agadjan Abiyev” in – “Sport for Life”, the television film “Delicate Mission” (İdman TV ) won the jury’s sympathy in the “Tender Hero” category.

At the event, special awards were also presented to the NGO “Judo Club 2012”. TV film “Fateh” (Idman TV), TV film “Heydar Aliyev. The Great Leader’s Contribution to Azerbaijani Sports” (CBC International), TV project “Happy Morning – Shusha Children’s and Youth Sports School” (Khazar Media Center), video “We “strong together” (DMS Azerbaijan LLC) in the “Advertising and Promotional Video” nomination, “Judo Veteran – Farhad Rajabli” in the “Sport for Life” nomination (Azerbaijan National Representative Office of the Interstate TV Company “MIR”) were awarded a special award.

Special NOC prizes were awarded to the short film “Towards Olympus – Nikita Simonov” (ARB 24) in the nomination “Strong in Spirit” and the television film “Masters of Sports” (CJSC “Television and Radio Broadcasting of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic”) in the nomination “Future Winners”, promotion video “Weightlifting lessons in Lankaran” (Azerbaijan Weightlifting Federation), promotional video “The sport of rowing – from Karabakh to the capital” (Azerbaijan Canoeing and Rowing Federation), documentary film “The Path to Perfection” in the “Sport for Life” nomination (Azerbaijan Judo Federation), the video “Weightlifter Elnara Abbasova” (Azerbaijan Weightlifting Federation) was awarded a special prize in the “Tender Hero” nomination.

During the event, performances by guests and partners of the festival and a musical program were presented.

The National Television Festival of Sports Films and Programs was established in 2022. Its goal is to promote the principles of the Olympic movement, create opportunities for cultural education and a full exchange of experience between creative people, promote sports, cinematic and television culture among the general public.
