Executive Director of the Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) Yusif Abdullayev spoke in favor of restoring Azerbaijan’s export mission to St. Petersburg.
He said this during the business forum “St. Petersburg and Azerbaijan are expanding the horizons of cooperation,” Day.Az reported on Tuesday from the event.
He noted that today the 4th meeting of the commission on cooperation between Azerbaijan and St. Petersburg was held in Baku, and AZPROMO was instructed to study the possibilities of expanding cooperation at the non-oil business level.
“There is the potential to significantly increase trade turnover, expand trade operations, and increase non-oil exports,” Abdullayev emphasized.
He said that this year AZPROMO will organize visits of Azerbaijani entrepreneurs to specialized exhibitions in Yekaterinburg, Kazan and St. Petersburg. In turn, Azerbaijan invites companies from St. Petersburg to visit AFEZ and the Pirallahi Industrial Park.
