An incident in Trichy resulted in the arrest of 10 supporters of Trichy Siva MP who had protested against Minister KN Nehru by showing a black flag on March 15. The arrested individuals were held at Sessions Court Police Station. Some of Minister Nehru’s supporters learned of the situation and attacked Trichy Siva’s supporters at the police station. A case was filed against DMK councilors Kajamalai Vijay, Muthuchelvam, Ramadoss, Andhanallur Union Committee President Durairaj and Ponnagar region representative Tirupathi, based on a complaint filed by Sub Inspector Mohan. The police charged them under 10 sections, and Tirupathi was the only individual not temporarily removed from the party. The 5 arrested individuals filed for bail at the Trichy JM2 court, but Judge Balaji dismissed their appeal after hearing arguments from both sides during yesterday’s investigation.

Trichy: 10 supporters of Trichy Siva MP who showed black flag against Minister KN Nehru on March 15 in Trichy were arrested and kept in Sessions Court Police Station. Some of the supporters of Minister Nehru came to know about this and entered the police station and attacked the supporters of Trichy Siva.

Based on the complaint filed by Sub Inspector Mohan, the police registered a case under 10 sections and arrested DMK councilors Kajamalai Vijay, Muthuchelvam, Ramadoss, Andhanallur Union Committee President Durairaj and Ponnagar region representative Tirupathi. Apart from Tirupati, 4 of them were temporarily removed from the party.

In this case, all the 5 arrested persons petitioned the Trichy JM2 court seeking bail. The investigation was held yesterday. After hearing the arguments from both sides, Judge Balaji dismissed the bail pleas of 5 DMK members.
